Buying & Products
Do you sell new or pre-owned gaming products?
Both. Every GEXC listing is clearly labelled New or Pre-owned, and pre-owned stock is tested before it is listed. We stock PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch consoles, games, controllers, spare parts and DIY repair kits.
Are pre-owned consoles from GEXC reliable?
Yes. Every pre-owned console is cleaned, function-tested and boot-tested before it goes on sale. We check the ports, drives, fans, controllers and storage, then list the true cosmetic condition — which is why some units are sold as “Scratch & Dent” at a lower price. Pre-owned consoles also carry a GEXC warranty.
What does “Scratch & Dent” mean?
Scratch & Dent means the console is fully working but has visible cosmetic marks such as scratches, scuffs or discolouration. It is tested to the same standard as any other pre-owned unit and carries the same warranty — you simply pay less because of how it looks.
Are your spare parts and accessories genuine?
Yes. GEXC sells genuine and quality-checked controller parts, console parts and accessories. Each part is inspected for fit and function before dispatch, so replacement analog sticks, cooling fans, shells and repair kits work as intended.
Can I fix controller stick drift myself?
Yes, for most controllers. GEXC sells DIY repair kits — including Hall effect analog upgrade kits and deep-clean kits — that ship with step-by-step instructions and the tools needed. If you would rather not open the controller, book a repair and our technicians will do it for you.
Warranty & Returns
What warranty do you give on pre-owned consoles and parts?
Pre-owned consoles carry a 6-month GEXC warranty and other pre-owned items carry 3 months. New consoles carry 1 year and new parts and accessories carry 6 months. The exact warranty for every product is shown as a badge on the product page and product card.
What is your return policy?
You can request a return within 7 days of delivery if the item is unused and in its original packaging. Faulty items are covered by the product warranty and will be repaired or replaced. Opened DIY repair kits cannot be returned, but defective components in them are replaced free of charge.
What if my item arrives damaged or faulty?
Contact us within 7 days with your order number and photos. GEXC will arrange a replacement or repair under the 7-day replacement guarantee, and warranty defects are covered for the full warranty period shown on the product.

Repairs
What consoles and problems can you repair?
GEXC repairs PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and handheld gaming PCs. Common jobs include HDMI port replacement, controller stick drift, overheating and fan replacement, disc drive faults, charging port repair, and deep cleaning with thermal paste replacement.
How long does a console repair take?
Most repairs are completed within 3–7 working days of the device reaching us, depending on the fault and part availability. You are told the expected timeline once diagnosis is complete and you approve the quote.
How do I track my repair?
Every repair booking gets a unique tracking code that looks like GEX-A1B2C3. Enter it on the Track Your Repair page to see live status, or sign in and open My Account → Repairs. Repairs move through Request Received, Diagnosing, Awaiting Your Approval, In Repair, Ready/Dispatched and Completed.
Do I pay before you diagnose the fault?
No. We diagnose the fault first, then send you a quote. Work only begins once you approve it, so you are never charged for a repair you have not agreed to.
Selling to GEX
How does selling my console to GEXC work?
Submit the Sell to GEX form with your item details, and you receive a tracking code that looks like SELL-A1B2C3. Your request then moves through Request Received, Item Received, Under Evaluation, Offer Made, Offer Accepted and Payment Sent — all trackable under My Account → Sell Requests or on the track page.
How much is my used console or game worth?
The value depends on the model, storage capacity, cosmetic condition, whether accessories and packaging are included, and current demand. Send us the details through the Sell to GEX form and our team evaluates the item, then makes you a firm offer before any payment is made.
Do you buy faulty or broken consoles?
Yes. GEXC buys faulty and broken consoles, controllers and parts for spares and refurbishment. Describe the fault honestly in your request so the evaluation and offer are accurate.
Who pays return shipping if I decline the offer?
If you decline the final offer and want the item sent back, return shipping is payable by the customer. If you accept the offer, payment is sent to you and there is nothing further to pay.
